The Two House Doctrine
The Two House Doctrine teaches that God has one group of people: the
Commonwealth of Israel. The Commonwealth of Israel consists of the House of
Judah, the House of Ephraim/Israel and their companions. These two houses of
Israel and their companions become "echad" or "one" in YHVH's hand. ( Ezekiel
37:16-28). Citizenship in Israel is available to any foreigner or sojourner who
attaches himself to the God of Israel by faith in Israel's Messiah, Yeshua. (
Ephesians 2:11-14, 19-22).
The Two House Doctrine rejects the idea that God has two groups, the Church and
Israel, and that these two groups have different commands and promises of God.
There is one Torah, one set of instructions from God.This includes the entirety
of scripture. There is one people of God who are all called to uphold and follow
the Torah.( Exodus 12:49, Ephesians 4:4-6, Galatians 3:28-29, Colossians 3:11 )
While the Two House Doctrine is not a salvation issue, it is a matter of
equality for all Believers, knowing who we are in Yeshua, and knowing how to
live our faith. Let us remember that we are all bondservants of Yeshua and treat
each other accordingly.
